The Handelsbeurs  once again provides the setting for a European industrial summit. eld was responsible for the architectural design and engineering of this exceptional restoration project.

This historic landmark in the heart of Antwerp has been carefully restored with deep respect for its rich heritage, while being thoughtfully upgraded to meet contemporary standards. It is inspiring to see how a building with such a remarkable past has once again become a venue for international dialogue, innovation and economic cooperation.

The fact that the Handelsbeurs is hosting a summit at European level highlights the power of considered restoration and sustainable adaptive reuse.

Fluvia Fire Station Kortrijk

Green light for the new Fluvia fire station in Kortrijk!
The building permit for the new headquarters of the  FLUVIA Emergency Service Center in Kortrijk has officially been approved.
In this project, eld is engineering partner for building services and structural stability, in collaboration with Archiles and Compagnie-O architecten.

The new site will become a future-proof operational featuring facilities for the fire brigade, a dispatch center, knowledge center, training zones, and offices for policy and prevention. Sustainability, spatial efficiency, and rapid intervention were key drivers in the design. With our expertise in building services and structural engineering, eld helps deliver the solid and high-performance foundation for this new generation of fire service infrastructure.
